Produced over five years in as many different BK studios and apartments, "NY Sticky" conjures a sweaty nostalgia for the humid streets of the city. Conceptualized as a soundtrack for a meandering stroll through the endless blocks of of the boroughs, the album pulls sonic influence from Go-go, Boogie, and Funk to keep your feet pulsing along on the cement. While the aforementioned genre's usually lend themselves to extended jams and grooves, the track's on this album have a compact efficiency to them, owing their form to instrumental hip-hop albums by the likes of J Dilla, The Beastie Boys, and Pete Rock.
